How I Used the Illinois App Today

I woke up around 6am this morning and I took a daily shower, brushed my teeth and cooked breakfast for my roommates and me. You know, the typical routine. Around 8am, I left my apartment to work at Grainger Library. 

I ground out some homework, then I got ready for a group project meeting with my classmates at ISR. However, I had to get some files printed out for it, and I was out of money on my account. So, what I did was pull out my phone and added $20 to my account with the app. It was that easy. It’s great because I still had some money left over to pay for my lunch at the cafeteria. 

I-Card 

Around 2:30pm I went back home to study for a midterm I had coming up. I was on my bed when I received an email from the library that I had to return or renew a book. So, all within my phone, I renewed the book. When it asked for my library ID number (which most people don’t know, to be honest), I went to the app and looked at my i-card details. It was super easy, and I didn’t have to get out of my bed to do so. 

Events 

At 6pm, I received a call from my friend saying that she wanted to hang out. She was free and was wondering if there was anything interesting that we could do that night. 

Normally I would be down to go out to eat, but I already ate at ISR, so I didn’t want to go out to eat again. So, I pulled out my Illinois app and looked under Events. Looking through, I saw that there was a movie night at the Illini Union. I told her about it, and she said that she was super down. 

So, for the rest of my day, I went to the Illini Union to relax after studying and working. I enjoyed the movie, and I went to bed around 10pm. And that is how I used the Illinois App last Saturday
